KANO
KANO is a 2014 Taiwanese baseball period film directed by the famous directors Chih-Hsiang Ma and Te-Sheng Wei, based on a true story depicting the multiracial KANO baseball team from Japanese-era Taiwan, overcoming extreme odds to represent the island in the 1931 Japanese High School Baseball Championship at Koshien Stadium. Performing beyond all expectations, the underdog team advanced to the championship game in the tournament.
The film won the Audience Awards and was nominated for the Golden Horse Award; it is also the 6th highest-grossing domestic, $11,890,062 Taiwanese film of all time.
I worked on its visual effects production team for a major motion picture, mainly for modeling, rendering, lighting, texturing, camera tracking, and animation.
